Troy Reynard began his career in higher education at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC), working there for eleven years. During that time he also coached the women's volleyball team at LCCC, notching 329 wins, 6 league championships, 2 state titles and 6 national tournament bids. He was named alumnus of the year at LCCC in 2001 and served as the athletic director from 2000 until 2004. A long time fan of specialty coffee and craft beer, he launched the Cosmic Cup, a specialty coffee shop, in 2005 and it quickly became an institution on College Hill. In 2011, he and his wife Kathy and a couple of friends purchased the Mt. Vernon Hotel and renovated it to become Two Rivers Brewing Company, an award-winning restaurant that brews its own beer on-site.

Well, a love of beer, maybe. But also a keen understanding of how urban renewal and craft brewing can come together in powerful ways. Check out this moving inspiring by Troy Reynard.
