Susie Olczak

Artist in London United Kingdom

I create sculpture, photography and installations that explore how I perceive geometry, light and materials as I move through urban spaces. I use materials such as concrete, metal, electrical lighting and stone and I often use unusual combinations such as neon and stone together. My work is minimal, colourful and geometric and it is influenced strongly by my time living in Japan. My work has been shown around the UK, in Japan and Finland, in galleries and the public spaces. Commissions include work for BBC Scotland, The Cambridge Institute of Astronomy, Charles Saatchi at the Big Chill Festival, King's, College Cambridge and the Fitzwilliam Museum.
