Rachel Dominguez-Benner is a Dayton-based lettering artist, surface designer, and sewist for hire.
Her textile work is influenced by being a child of the 80's, and William Morris's idea that you have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.
Graduated from a fine Michigan university and moved out west to Portland, Oregon at a friend's invitation. Opened a bicycle repair shop (with 5 mechanics); helped the small business community collaboratively market and implement rewards system to keep more dollars in the local economy; bookkeeping for a boutique financial planning firm ---> teaching people how to use awesome budgeting software via skype; moved to Dayton; ....
