Rabee Zureikat holds a bachelor's degree in advertising and marketing and is the founder of the Zikra Initiative (www.zikrainitiative.org) in Jordan.
Zikra promotes alternative learning to empower people to reconnect with their local culture and to utilize local knowledge to inspire sustainable solutions to community’s most stressing social, economic and environmental challenges. Started in a marginalized village of Ghor Al Mazra’a in Jordan, Zikra has two arms: the local non-profit organization Zikra Initiative established in 2007, and its extension Zikra for Popular Learning co-founded in 2011 by Rabee Zureikat and Lama Al Khatieb operating in the Arab region and offers Workshops, trainings and consultations for organizations and companies.
Rabee' has received many awards for his innovative approach such as: Ashoka fellowship, Arab World Social Innovator ( Synergos) , World Travel Market Global award in London, King Abdullah ll Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement, UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development. Rabee' was invited to give speeches at the 7th UNESCO youth forum in Paris, Harvard University, Youth philanthropy summit in Abu Dhabi ,TEDx Amman, TEDx Oman and Silatech's Arab Youth and Entrepreneurship Conference
