Mike is a culture hacker re-imaging everything from post-disaster redevelopment, democracy, protesting, cities and real estate. His projects revolve around co-creating inclusive physical spaces for community to gather and turn their ideas into realities. These projects have spanned the globe including, 4 continents in 9 counties. Mike works out of the think tank the Institute for the Future in Palo Alto, California. His work has been featured NY Times, Wall St. Journal, TIME, National Geographic and many others. He serves on the board of directors for Communitere International and has been deployed in Haiti, Philippines and Nepal.

Mike Zuckerman offers up some personal insights and some inspirational ideas for the what could possibly be the silver lining in Nepal's rebuilding post-earthquake. Moved by a friend who tragically perished on Mt. Everest, he suggests the time is now or never, proposing a bold vision of making creative new cities in the aftermath of disaster that can be a better reflections of the wishes and dreams of its inhabitants.
