Lisa Grey has been a studio artist for over 38 years. She left college to run a weaving business for 10 years, then tried her hand at quilting before turning to the world of surface design. Along the way she sought out teachers who would mentor and encourage her to hone skills in multiple dyeing, printmaking, photography and creative sewing techniques. Known for her innovative discoveries in the use of disperse dyes, Lisa has taught workshops in the US and abroad and now in her Portsmouth studio. Her approach focuses on combining technical proficiency with creative spontaneity. She has an insatiable curiosity and a passion for deep exploration of ideas and techniques.
