Joel Jae Serrano
Grade 12 Student, Maples Met School
Joel Jae Serrano is a grade 12 high school student at the Maples Met School. Like many students at his age, Joel Jae is often underlooked. Yet, at the start of high school he has contributed a lot to his school community. In 2017 he kickstarted his school’s yearbook community and continues to take lead in his senior year. He is the design lead for the upcoming Tedxmaplesmetschool and is also part of the school GSA. In the following year he even designed, manufactured, and chaired for his school honour roll committee. From a young age he has developed a passion for improving communities through design, persuading his peers to become design aficionados.
