The author of The Happy People of Asheville, What Makes a Joyful Town, became a life coach after discovering Asheville and the Positive Psychology movement. He is also a university instructor of English, published writer, woodcarver, environmentalist, avid tennis player, father of two and a happy husband. He has pursued inner, spiritual work as part of men's groups for over twenty years.
His novel is entitled My Father's Empire about America's imperious foreign policy and he has co-written the comedy screenplay Space Potatoes, recounting the unique psychological fitness of couch potatoes for the long Mars Mission.
At home in Miami, Florida for over two decades he was a water man, living aboard a boat anchored offshore, diving, sailing and exploring the Keys, Bahamas and Everglades.
