Graeme Borland

Game Developer in Winnipeg Canada

Graeme Borland is a multidisciplinary game developer, frequent game jam participant, and tall person who does not play basketball. From working in virtual reality at Owlchemy Labs to building illustrated worlds for his sketch of the day blog, Graeme is seldom without a handful of projects on the go. He enjoys coming up with tasty bite-sized games for events like Ludum Dare and PegJam, and daydreaming about what to work on next.

A Sketch A Day

@ VOL 38 ON JUN 06, 2019

Graeme Borland is a game developer who typically spends his workday writing code. However a few years ago, Graeme felt the need to keep connected to his love of video game environments, so he started a project called Sketch of the Day where he attempts to draw a different, fantastical scene every single day. Watch this inspiring 20x20 talk to see and hear more about this ongoing project, what he discovered throughout the process, and how he's been able to keep this up for more than 2,000 days in a row.

Graeme's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 38, on June 6 2019, at the Park Theatre.
