Flavio Silva is an anthropological archaeologist who studies social relations, learning and stone tool use in ancient Mayan communities. He has researched communities in Southern Mexico, Patagonia and Northern California. His favorite place in the world is the palace at Palenque on the night of a full moon. His second favorite place is the Coliseo of Mexico City, where the tickets are cheap, the beers are cold, and the battle between good and evil unfolds as masked men, women, little people and transgender luchadores duke it out to the cheers of the crowd.
