Enuma FluX

Improvisational Composer / Art Educator / Sound Healer, Self in Toronto Canada

Enuma FluX is an improvisational composer, art educator and sound healer who creates an organic blend of soul, folk rock, dub poetry and Afro-Jass. Enuma means “the heavens know” in Igbo and as an artist who has settled in the multicultural landscape of Toronto, she has sung in 6 languages and proudly draws from her Jamaican and African roots for inspiration. FluX has taken huge strides in her young solo career as a performer and has been featured on several recording projects. She is also a member of afrobeat band Asiko, and has worked with other acclaimed musicians like legendary free jazz forefather Henry Grimes and the Waleed Kush African Jazz Ensemble.

In her endeavour to promote the art of live music, FluX has successfully organized shows to spotlight independent artists and is the founder of "Womyn of Indigo", a grassroots collective comprised of emerging female musicians and poets. During her time at the helm of the "Womyn of Indigo", she co-founded the "Acoustic Flow" workshop series, which empowers young women to play instruments and compose their own music. As she thrives in connecting with all walks of life through community arts, FluX has also founded "The Mad Lyricist" songwriting program and "Mama Luna's Music Circle", a series that helps parents and their toddlers to bond through music.

Enuma FluX has quickly developed a repertoire that connects with people from all walks of life, and a reputation for staying true to herself and her art without compromise. She is taking steps to share her music and passion across Canada and abroad: join her on her journey.
