Dustin Durham

Design Staff , East Tennessee Community Design Center in Knoxville United States

Dustin moved from his home in West Virginia to Knoxville a decade ago (where has the time gone?) to get his architecture degree from UT. After graduating in 2014, he chose to stay here because of the culture of design and growth of downtown, which he found encouraging for a mid-sized city in his beloved Appalachian Mountains.

Life led him to his current employer, The East Tennessee Community Design Center - a non-profit helping make the region a better place through architecture and design - where he is on the design staff. He has been there now for nearly one year.

Non-profits are not typically thought of as resources for architecture, design, and
planning services. Dustin Durham is here to change that mentality. He works for The East Tennessee Community Design Center, a local non-profit that has been around since 1970 with the sole purpose of making East Tennessee a better place through design. He runs through who they are, how they operate, and shows examples of a few of the 1,000+ projects they have designed in our region over the previous fifty years.
