Diane Windham Shaw directs the department of Special Collections & College Archives at Lafayette. She received her BA and MLS degrees from Emory University, where she spent the first years of her career as an archivist. Arriving at Lafayette in 1985, she has been instrumental in raising the profile of the Special Collections and Archives program through acquisitions, research, outreach, and teaching using the collections. At Lafayette she has received the Administrator of the Year award, as well as the Marquis Distinguished Teaching Award. In 2012, the French Ministry of Culture and Communication named her a Chevalier in the Order of Arts and Letters for her work with the College’s Marquis de Lafayette collections.
