Carol Williams-Wong was born to Hakka Chinese immigrants in Jamaica and lived a happy carefree life growing up in the Caribbean. She was married in Montreal and is the mother of 3 sons, who grew up in Scarborough, Hong Kong, and Unionville, Ontario. Carol still lives in Unionville and is one of the Markham Mayor's Hall of Fame awardees. She is an active volunteer in her community. She is Chinese-Jamaican by birth, and Canadian by choice. She is also the author of the book Letters to my Grandchildren.

Chinese-Jamaican by birth, and Canadian by choice, Carol Williams-Wong has lived in Jamaica, Montreal, Hong Kong, is now living in Unionville, Ontario. This is her story of adapting, integrating, embracing and appreciating through active contribution and involvement in her community.
