ART + BELIEVE
‘’We are not Hippies we are Happies’’. A project to paint the world.
We are Street artists and co-founders of ART+BELIEVE who in 2013, left our jobs, our family and our home. Starting in the Favelas of Brazil we travelled through South America and Asia working with local communities and art collectives, to paint artwork on the street.
At first we had little idea what we were undertaking but as the paint starting flying so too did the support not only from local people but art collectives, community groups and
fellow travellers alike, who also shared our vision and enabled the project to come alive.
To date we have painted 30 street murals in over 20 countries. For us it has all been about giving something back. No money has changed hands only smiles, various types of tea and places to rest our heads.
At times it has been extremely challenging and having to think on your feet, whilst contending with a multitude of languages, bartering for materials and enduring extreme temperatures.
Yet the rewards far out way any hardship.
It is a project close to our hearts and we are very excited to be able to share our ongoing journey with you.

"We are not hippies, we are happies."
In The Bank of Happiness from PechaKucha Night Brighton Vol.24, Married travelling duo, Charlotte and Dan Doherty, shared their philosophy of Worldwide travel. Their mission is to bridge the gap between travellers and communities with art. Forget ubiquitous and talentless tagging, this is street art in the truest sense of the word and at its best - for the people, by the people.
This was "PechaKucha of the Day" on Monday, October 24th, 2016.
