Bryan C. Lee Jr. is an architectural designer, artist, writer and devoted advocate for social justice through design. He is dedicated to promoting diversity within the profession and relentless in his efforts to elevate the design process as an effective means of change for underserved communities. He currently an architectural designer for the nationally recognized architecture firm, Eskew + Dumez + Ripple, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Along with his professional endeavors, Bryan has had the opportunity to serve his community through the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).

She tells some tales of her latest overseas dance workshop which took her to the strikingly beautiful South Caucasus region and heritage-rich nation of Armenia.

In this Pechakucha given by Michelle Levesley at London - Vol. 20 - PKNLDN 20 - WeWork, Michelle put forwards a very convincing argument for why the process of hiring staff is broken just like dating is. Her argument puts forward a case for why hiring is broken for both employees and employers.

The LongStory: an Online Dating Game for Youth
"There's the question of whether young people want to learn from their teachers ... the answer is probably, 'No.'" Miriam Verburg is the producer of LongStory, one of the first LGBTQ friendly dating games made specifically for young people. In "The LongStory: an Online Dating Game for Youth" from PKN Toronto Vol. 29, she discusses why she decided to devote two years of her life to producing a dating game for kids and shows some of the interesting things she learned along the way about creating games about feelings.

City Focus: Nagano

City Focus: Christchurch
This week, we find ourselves heading to the southern hemisphere for our City Focus, landing in the beautiful destination of Christchurch, New Zealand. Dating back more than 150 years, Christchurch was the first official city in New Zealand and is the largest on the southern island, home to approximately 400,000 residents. Known as the "City of Gardens", it is host to over 700 parks and gardens, including the wonderfully grand Hagley Park, one of the larger city parks in the world. Close by, the famous Christchurch Botanic Gardens can provide a shady, peaceful environment filled with stunning plant life. For a little more excitement, the city and the surrounding suburbs also feature exciting attractions like Sumner Beach and the Adrenalin Forest. It is safe to say that there is plenty to do if you live in the city or are just visiting, but if you want more, swing by Christchurch's Vol. 40 event on August 1st!
