Bemidji’s PKN chapter was founded just last year, but since then hundreds have attended this real-life social media event, and dozens have been brave enough to share their stories and images. The poster for next week's PechaKucha Night Vol. 5 was designed by Cody Bartz.

Anyone out there?

I'll start as I ended my first blog .....arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh This isn’t as straight forward as I thought.  I can't just create my pages; I can't just get enough presenters to present. I have to try harder. I've been doing a lot of reviewing ... and realising I don’t have funky images for my pages means it’s not looking as lovely as I would like it to be. I realised that despite the fact I know a lot of people I’m not a good sales person and my networking skills need improving but thankfully I've secured my venue and date.. I am ridiculously nervous about this, but the first one is always the hardest right? Despite all of this and with the help of some coffee & walnut cake I have managed to find my first willing volunteers. One of the key things about PK is that you don’t know what you’re going to find until you ask, I approached two people asking them to talk about things that I knew they had interests or hobbies in.  Once I’d explained the principles and what was needed they both came back with different things they wanted to share, I was a little taken back because here I was learning something new about people I see every day, also two subjects I didn’t know anything about.. How exciting!  This makes me even more determined to keep asking people to come forward. So in less than 40 days Milton Keynes will have its first PechaKucha evening. Oh goodness ... I think I’m going to throw up!
