Taking something old and crumbling away, and refurbishing it and enhancing what is already there, is a step closer to eco-friendly living and homes. Reusing and recycling wood, and using natural materials, Maha and Maya were able to create and inspire more to do the same.

Maryam Nabavi, an Innovation Strategist at Idea Couture, talks about her strategy for the future of commerical space (i.e. Virgin Galactic) as a service industry. If you ever thought about living in space, then small bathrooms, carbon-dehydrated food, and uncomfortable sleeping arrangements are probably not what you had in mind. However, in "Space Tourism: Hospitality or Adventure Industry?" from PKN Toronto Vol. 27, we learn that Nabavi redesigned the experience to have humans at the center of the problem so that it can be an enjoyable and memorable experience for anyone no matter their financial or physical situation.

Nature of the Onega peninsula has amazing energy...
“Nature of the Onega peninsula has amazing energy. You want to stay alone with youself here…”The national park "Onega Pomorie" took part in the international event "Pecha-Kucha Nights". It was organised in Malina cafe, Severodvinsk. Angela Zabaldina, a staff of the national park, presented one of the most large-scale photoprojects with sperical panoramas of the Onega Peninsula. “Our virtual phototour is your private guide. It can tell a lot about these magic places”. More than 15 thousand shots were made for creation of spherical panoramas. For that photographer Ilya Barmin covered 240 km on foot. It took two weeks. You can make a virtual journey on the national park website http://onpomor.ru/view/virtualnoe-puteshestvie/". Now there are nearly 250 panoramas, all of them have text descriptions.“The virtual tour is a good beginning to know the Onega peninsula better. The next step is an actual trip”.Angela also spoke about day-to-day activities of the national park, touristic routes. She answered the questions about volunteering, possibilities to visit the national park, how many tourists it has every year.

Johnnie Mwanavuri loves nature and owns and operates a tourism company called Misuku Expeditions. He began Misuku Expeditions in 2013 from his bedroom and under mango trees and in mall car parks. With hard work and perseverance he now has 4 permanent staff and 3 part-time staff. Johnnie has traveled in most of the beautiful places in Malawi but still wishes to visit Likoma and Livingstonia. He is interested in promoting Malawi as a tourism destination and not as a country whose people need aid. Johnnie preaches anti-poaching messages on social media and loves having conversations. We're looking forward to Johnnie's presentation!
