BY MATT WOELK
@ VOL 35 ON SEP 06, 2018

Matt Woelk is a Renaissance Man that does a variety of things: game development, podcasting, managing and producing a YouTube channel about board games, and improv. Throughout all of this, however, there is one overarching thing that is key to the success of these enterprises: good storytelling. Matt explains the importance and definition of good storytelling in this talk and how you can utilize this practice in your day-to-day to not only benefit yourself, but others in your community. Above all, remember: stories are important; let's tell good stories.

Matt's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 35, on September 6, 2018, at the Park Theatre.

I Can Do That (and So Can You!)

BY ANYA MARCO HARRIS
@ VOL 20 ON MAY 15, 2019

In 'I Can Do That (and so can you!)', Anya Marco Harris, uses her 400 second PechaKucha for great impact. Anya draws on tales from her own life experience to convince the audience that if you have a dream idea floating around in your mind, stop in floating around in the abyss and make it a reality.

As Anya eloquently puts it, if she can achieve being a coffee queen, burlesque dancer, blogger, obtain a MA in cultural cosmology specialising in archeoastronomy and discover how the Neolithic chose to place the stones in Avebury Stone Circle (and that is just her life to date) - then so can YOU!
