Why Stories Matter
We live in a world brimming with stories. It begins in childhood when fairy tales shape our dreams. Stories happen in every kitchen, where recipes and family folklore are passed down from one generation to the next. We are surrounded by stories told through film, literature and music that comfort and inspire us. Stories help us communicate our beliefs while hoping others will embrace them. Kim Yuhl believes that this is why stories matter.

Her presentation is about this process, but it is also about a critical time in her life when, for the first time, the role was reversed and she needed to accept her own vulnerability.
