Stefan Rosu is the director general and artistic director of the South Netherlands Philharmonic in Eindhoven and Maastricht. The classical symphony orchestra is facing a fast changing environment. In order to survive it needs to adjust. Stefan Rosu's presentation describes how it can do so without losing its basic values. It gives an insight into how musicians and staff can act in that situation.

This group explores what can be done with the unique Theremin instrument, including use of new techniques and collaboration with other performers. Wynne gives us a brief history of the instrument, and discusses her desire to incorporate the instrument in her independant art practice.

A Grammy Award- winning banjo player from Nashville, Tennessee, and former investment banker Allison Brown is waliking us through the history of five string banjo in paintings and photography, its transition from African American slaves music to white Victorian parlors music and female orchestras and moving to the Northeast in the 60's. She is a co-founder of the internationally recognised Compass Records Group.

IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild is an outdoor concert series in stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Hunter Noack brings a 9-foot Steinway grand piano to the middle of forests, fields, calderas and historical sites for classical music concerts. To meet the acoustical challenges of performing in the wild, music is transmitted to the concert-goers via wireless headphones. No longer confined to seats, they can explore the landscape, wander through secret glens, lie in sunny meadows, and roam old growth forests.
