ここ数年ドキュメンタリー写真のジャンルは、これまでと異なる表現手法を取り入れることで注目を集めるようになってきました。写真家の紀成道さんが撮影取材した「森に囲まれた病院」も、従来の暗く重いイメージを覆すべくまとめ、そそいて写真の「物としての価値」を問いかけます。

In recent years, the genre of documentary photography has been notable in surfacing new expressions of representation. By questioning the “value of things”, Kino Seido’s photographic account of "The Hospital amongst the Forest" is one such example, where the photographs strive to overturn the traditional somber image of documentary.
