While living in Gonohe, a small town in Aomori, Japan, Dave Herlich and Michael Warren decided to organize a free music festival. The Gonohe Music Festival showcases international music and food, bringing guests from over a dozen countries to a beautiful secluded park in Gonohe.

The Big Ears Festival has become one of the most anticipated cultural gatherings in the world. Bringing thousands of visitors to town, Big Ears not only hosts many of the world’s leading artists, but showcases Knoxville’s symphony, jazz orchestra, local music scene, poets, theaters, clubs, churches, museums, galleries, restaurants, shops…the texture and character of the city. Artist James Wilkinson shows his widely imaginative work. Primarily a portrait painter and inspired by the classics of Caravaggio and the pop art of Peter Blake, James has been creating portraits since the age of 7.
Official artist to the Writtle Jazz Festival and V festival, recently renamed RiZE, James shares stories of his time as a live portrait artist, his on and off-stage sketches, portraits and photographs, intertwined with stories about rock and pop icons.
