Asila Asila is a matatu graphic designer in Nairobi. Matatus (mini buses) provide transport for about seventy percent of Nairobi’s population and the sector is one of the largest in Kenya.
The matatu industry has been the source of livelihood for hundreds of Kenyans and in different fields. The lifting of the ban on graffiti  by his Excellency the President has brought out the best of local designers.

Ashley Morton is the Vice-President and senior Nova Scotia member of Transport Action Atlantic, a regional NGO who advocate for convenient, sustainable, affordable public transportation. TAA are strong supporters of urban public transportation, but spend most of their time thinking and talking about regional and inter-urban public transportation, with a focus on rail.

Glen Koorey has been a Principal with local transport consulting firm ViaStrada since 2016. Prior to that, he spent 12 years teaching and researching transportation at Canterbury University. He specializes in road safety and sustainable transport, particularly in the areas of speed management and providing for cycling, but has also been investigating the role of future transport technologies. In this Pecha Kucha, Glen introduces the concept of "Mobility as a Service (MaaS), because he believes that the immediate future of transport is more about connecting many travel options (and payment) seamlessly, not self-driving cars.

Rob Henderson worked tirelessly for 6 years promoting bike share as part of Christchurch's public transport network. After being told "now's not the time for new ideas" he crowd-funded and launched a bike share pilot, and built a local community in support of the idea; providing the basis for a city business case for bike share. Before watching consultants and overseas companies get all the rewards.
