Dr. Patrick Lendrum has been working with wildlife, primarily mammals, in one capacity or another for over a decade. Patrick began his wildlife career as a seasonal technician trapping, tracking and following creatures great and small from marten and fisher to black and grizzly bears across the Western US. A seasonal job with Colorado Parks and Wildlife monitoring winter survival of mule deer led to the opportunity to obtain a Master’s Degree at Idaho State University where he examined the migration patterns of mule deer in response to energy development. After that, Patrick served as the Wildlife Biologist for Panthera’s Teton Cougar Project where he studied the effects of recolonizing wolves on multiple aspect of cougar ecology in the Southern Yellowstone Ecosystem. Patrick has since completed his PhD at Colorado State University where he studied the response of the carnivore community to energy development, and is now the Science Lead with the World Wildlife Fund based out of Bozeman Montana.
Patrick is presenting on home range selection for the mountain lions of Jackson Hole.
