KOJO Couture

 Koa Johnson is perhaps best known for his line of bridal and formal gowns made under the brand bearing an abbreviation of his name, Kojo Couture. Each of Johnson’s collections includes one dress created with unconventional materials and references Hawaiian history or material culture, interpreted through the lens of avant-garde fashion. Koa goes back and forth between his Maui home and Oahu, his home away from home. You can find his collections online at kojocoutour.com and on instagram at kojocouture.

MECA’s new textile and fashion design program is growing quickly and introducing students to a rare hybrid program of textile and fashion design.  Unique in the US, the TFD program students explore 2D pattern and 3D shape as they create wearable art for the body.

e vous emmène dans ma petite roulotte de gitan faire un voyage pour découvrir mon univers nomade sur la route de la danse tzigane. 
je me suis spécialisée en danse tzigane de différent pays , puis la danse tzigane fusion est née. C’est la rencontre en une danse de mouvement de tous ces pays. Par goût de création, mais aussi de symbole d’union, d’ouverture à l’autre, l’accueil de la différence. 
La mixité nous ouvre sur un alliage, vif, joyeux et coloré.
