This presentation was recorded at PechaKucha Night Vol. 109, and then performed again at Tokyo Designers Week 2014's PechaKucha Night Vol. 118. It was selected as "Presentation of the Day" on December 31, 2013.

Lisa Scott returned from the Middle East in 2009 to discover all the jobs were gone she then decided to become a writer. Since then, her work has received several awards including a Qantas for Humour/satire in 2010 and Magazine Publishers' Association Journalist of the Year in 2011.

As well as her regular columns for NEXT and the Otago Daily Times, Lisa writes for North and South and NZ Life & Leisure. She lives in Dunedin with a large economist.

Crystal Lake is an Associate Professor in the English Department at Wright State University. She earned her PhD in 2008, and before moving to Dayton in 2011, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Crystal teaches courses and conducts research on British literature, history, and culture.

Marann Mincey presents “60 Second Lives,” which is a concept created to bring together her passion for writing and love of photography.  She performs six of these “60 Second Lives” by narrating short fictions, poems or lyric essays she wrote to capture the essence of a character, place, or experience.  Each reading is illustrated by three photographs most of which she took on various travels.
