Julianna Tullos gives an in-depth look at Knoxville's only terrestrial college radio station, WUTK, and discusses that not all radio is created equal. While working at the University of Tennessee college radio station, WUTK, in college in 2005, Julianna grew to appreciate the eclectic environment of radio, and odd-balls that fill it. Over a decade later, college radio is still just as relevent and important, providing a creative outlet, promoting community awareness, and providing a platform of expression for students and Knoxvillians.

Laura Conning wears many hats in the Collingwood area.  She owns and operates Route26.ca, a website dedicated to showcasing the local music of the Georgian Bay Area through calendar listings, blog posts, and featured articles.  A musician herself, Laura has been singing and songwriting for over 10 years, and currently performs in a duo called Honeymoon Phase.  She holds a Master of Arts in Popular Music & Culture, a unique cultural and media studies program at The University of Western Ontario.  Laura has recently become the Business Manager for Content Refined, a content marketing company based out of Collingwood.
