Tony Kroeger presented Dayton Obscura – Tales of the overlooked and sometimes dark history of Dayton. While Dayton will always love the prominent historical stories of the Wright Brothers, Charles Kettering, and John Patterson, there is much more to Dayton history. Kroeger delves into some of those overlooked topics, such as the role of Dayton in the Manhattan Project, the arrest of John Dillinger, and hidden burial grounds.

When the legendary harness race track Maywood Park in Melrose Park, Illinois, closed in late 2015, two professors from the College of DuPage in Wheaton, Illinois, acquired the track’s archives. Though only owning a small portion of the Maywood Park archives, Keith Yearman began digitizing and documenting the entire collection—and is curating a forthcoming exhibition.
