Fight or Flight: A Pilgrimage of Self Discovery

PRESENTED ON FEB 20, 2019
IN WINNIPEG @ VOL 37

After a personally tough year, Danelle Cloutier decided to realize a recurring dream she's been having of being in a country where everything is completely foreign to her. Danelle's trip to Asia was an experience that was as enlightening as it was cathartic as it helped her realize what it means to be living with anxiety on a daily basis. Here in this 20x20 talk, she briefly shares her experience travelling in Asia and explains how she deals with the struggles of her life-long anxiety.

Danelle's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 37, on February 20 2019, at the Park Theatre.

Anxiety Quiet Anxiety

BY LEONARD MARTINEZ
@ VOL 17 ON OCT 21, 2017

People who have anxiety usually have a hard time explaining what it is to those that never experience it. One way to describe it is it having many of the same qualities as the loud/quiet/loud dynamic of rock n’ roll songs. Leonard Martinez’s presentation looks at the heady topic of anxiety through the lens of music. All you’ll feel is calm - hopefully.
