Evolution of an "Artist"
BY ANTHONY DIMAGGIO
@ VOL 16
ON MAR 28, 2019
Anthony "Scooter" DiMaggio was born and raised here in Michigan but has lived half his life in New York City. Naturally, he combines a homespun mid-western practicality with a more global and holistic sensibility. As a visual artist, he moved quickly from drawing, to painting, to sculpture, then on to wacky invention. After graduate school, he reluctantly moved into the real world and among other things; enjoyed life as a bartender, helped to start a custom made bobblehead business, and began to seriously confront the age-old existential ponderings that yearn for spiritual enlightenment. Today, he expands this evolution with fresh intention and personality to share his brand of humor and awareness through newer features and formats.
