Current President of the board of the Louisiana Peace Corps, Ryan Tascar, shares with us some of the things he lost when he left the United State and moved to Cape Verde with the Peace Corps for 2 1/2 years.   From family, friends to familiar traditions and holidays lost by leaving the U.S., Ryan was able to find adventures and once in a life time experiences during his time in the Peace Corps.

From community development in a small Senegalese village to community involvement in a small Hudson Valley town, there is a connection that stretches over half a century.

In Dayton Corps, members serve in three areas: neighborhood leadership development, housing insecurity and employment, and education.  Dayton Corps AmeriCorps ​members are poets, football coaches, college students, veterans, retirees and more--Individuals that commit their time and skills to get things done​!
