Tainan’s Creative Collective “氣口” pronounced “Kwee Kau” was founded in 2016 by Leslie Tsai, Kang, Henry Huang, Sonia Selavy and Masahiro Han on the concept of creative expression and community networking. The group curates PechaKucha Night Tainan, with every event taking new form based on the immediate needs of the community. They’ll be sharing about their special city and the creativity that abounds there.

Ms. Hsieh recounts using an 80-year-old traditional house from the Japanese occupation era as the base for 'Tainan One House'. Together with 6 friends, all with different skill sets, they held various activities by carefully managing local resources. She also shares with us her shocking but highly amusing gardening adventures, and her outlook on future operations.

In Creativity in a Hidden Land from PKN Tokyo’s Vol. 134 Pow Wow Special, PechaKucha Night Muscat Organizer Sara Fida Al Abdullah shares some reflections on her home city and the PKN she hosts there in Oman. A beautiful and vibrant city, Oman's capital Muscat is a sight to behold indeed, but as Sara began to recognize an under-represented and under-valued sense of design, she committed her to finding and spotlight the city's hidden creativity and talent, and if in doing so via PechaKucha Nights, she's had an enormously positive impact on her community. Here she also offers some ingenious tips on running PechaKucha Night, from which any organizer can glean.

Ninao's Ice Cream in Tainan
A former furniture salesman, ice cream vendor Li Yu learned how to appreciate the beautiful things in life while selling furniture. Similarly, he hopes his patrons enjoy consuming his ice-cream. To that end, he enrolled in Carpigiani Gelato University, an Italian university dedicated to ice cream, to master the skills required to produce quality ice creams that will bring joy to everyone.
