A City Born of an Aircraft Graveyard

Tuc Teamson talks about how three students in architecture and design start a project focusing on an "extreme situation"; A need for living space in the Arizona desert. They designed new homes from aircraft carcasses found in an aircraft graveyard. Turbines turn into a churches, cabins, and houses. Soon, a city emerges from the chaos. (In French)

Exploring his own individuality, Zachary expresses his joy of being a little freakish. However, he discovered that he is not alone, and that even the town he lives in, having a history of freaks that exhibited strange behaviors, and adding color to the world.

Teodora Buba, born in Bucharest, Romania currently living and working in Rapid City, SD, graduated from the National University of Fine Arts in Bucharest with a Masters in Visual Arts and a Fine Art Teaching Degree.

She has exhibited in London, Denmark, Japan, Texas and at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City and The Museum of Visual Materials in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Currently, she has been selected to participate in the Studio Visit Magazine volumes 39&40 this coming winter.

Having roots in a family of artists, her father a blown glass artist and graphic designer and her mother a ceramist she knew from an early age what she wanted to do: art!

Her artistic style is purely abstract and moving chromatically towards saturation of colors.

She is balancing between figurative and abstract art creating stories along the way.

Her artistic influence comes from abstract expressionism and pop art.

Teodora loves the Black Hills surroundings where she is residing close by in Rapid City, but mostly the people that made her appreciate and love this area so much.

Christopher Thompson is a singer, songwriter, and entrepeneur who recently moved back to Portland from Southern California. Chris founded the band/brand Freaks of the Sea in 2016 as a vehicle to spread empathy and understanding.
