Dr Rachel Shanks is a Senior Lecturer based in the School of Education at the University of Aberdeen. She is currently conducting research in Huntly, exploring Health and Social Care for the 2020s. She speaks about how people learn at academic conferences - from attending their first conference, how do people learn what to do, how to behave and how to get on at conferences, going from novice to keynote speaker.
