u

BY TOBI NIFESI

The ability to make art is inherent within all of us but something gets lost along the way as we navigate the difficulties of life and grow up to be functioning and responsible adults. Author Tobi Nifesi discusses this phenomena in this 20x20 talk, and here he explains how to get back the same passion to create as u once were as a child.

Tobi's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 38, on June 6 2019, at the Park Theatre.

Lines

BY MURAT ATES
@ VOL 38 ON JUN 06, 2019

The beginning of the path Murat Ates has taken to become a Winnipeg Jets beat writer for the Athletic can be traced to two generations before him. Murat shares this personal story of how his family and upbringing influenced the trajectory of his profession in this compelling 20x20 talk. Listen in to hear him trace the line from being (jokingly) threatened by head coach Paul Maurice to his family members and his education, and back again.

Living Your Best (Art) Life

BY RAINE HAMILTON
@ VOL 38 ON JUN 06, 2019

Raine Hamilton is a singer-songwriter who has been working full-time as a musician for the last few years. She's been able to do so after learning how to fully break the chains of the "security myth" and commit to a way of living that unapologetically integrates what it is she wants to do for the rest of her existence. Raine shared that knowledge with us in her 20x20 talk, showing us that it is possible to live an art life and chart circumstance in your favour, as long as you have the gusto (and the right mindset) to do so.

Raine's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 38, on June 6 2019, at the Park Theatre.
