It All Started with a Pair of Pants

@ VOL 27 ON MAY 10, 2018

Monika Miller, certified KonMari consultant, takes a lighthearted look at how asking herself "Does it spark joy?” when organizing her belongings led to a radical “decluttering” of her life. Her presentation is part story of personal transformation and part meditation on our things and the surprising force they can exert on our lives. Monika’s plunge into intentional living did not start with a grand plan, but with the simple decision to discard a pair of black pants.

The Right Fit

@ VOL 27 ON MAY 10, 2018

Marcus Hall always just wanted to help people look and feel cool. So when the Levi’s factory in Knoxville closed just after he'd become a tailor, he left for LA to create a cut-and-sew denim business that served the modern man. Marcus came back to Knoxville and created Marc Nelson where he found his dream of outfitting friends and neighbors in quality denim that made them feel as good in a business meeting as they did on a date.

Molly Miketo is here to share her story and how she now lives in each and every moment authentically.  She works with the Akashic Records, which have been key to helping her unlock the blocks and beliefs that prevented her from showing up as her true self each day.  She lovingly shares about both of these so others, too, can embrace living as who they truly are.

Yes She Kahn!

@ VOL 27 ON MAY 10, 2018

The Mongol Derby is widely regarded as the toughest horse race in the world: a grueling 1,000 kilometers across the Mongolian steppe, riding semi-feral horses, carrying only 11 pounds of gear and relying on nomads for food, water and shelter. Equestrian sports journalist Leslie Wylie Bateman thought it'd make for a great story ... IF she could survive the race to tell it.
