Park Heritage

Dana Lind has been maintaining Ellensburg's parks for many years. In this role he encourages the preservation of, development of, and engagement with the area. At the center of this is what he describes as "the crown jewel" of the community: Irene Rienhart Riverfront Park.

As a DACA recipient Madai Martinez has invested in community, education, and advocacy. Her involvement in the soon to be recinded program rooted her in the "American Dream" and gave her a passion for other children who share her desire for a successful, thrivant life in the United States.

Thomas Ricci is a fifth grader devoted to making the world a better place. He spent the first part of his 10th year developing a project that encouraged and promoted kindness. Ricci hopes to spend his life treating people in ways that strengthens community connections.

As Deputy Sheriff, Chris Whitsett strives to encourage inclusivity and equity in law enforcement and its service to the community he lives in. He is dedicated to maintaining integrity in the midst of wide-spread concern over police brutality and racism.
