Beauty Changes the World

Rita Patel has designed an experience called Experiments in Beautiful Thinking as way of expanding people's breadth and depth of beauty by moving from appreciation to participation. It is based on the idea that our experience of beauty can transform our world by changing how we see ourselves, our situation and our environment. The foundation provided in the experience allows deeper connection and greater confidence to lead by tapping into the person's creative force.

Mikayla Cutlip comes to PechaKucha Night-Detroit from the People First Project. Her approach to tactical urbanism focuses on revitalizing the Corktown neighborhood.

Pop Up Success

Aaron Jones was awarded a residency from the BEMIS Center and participated in the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale. A master of architecture, he uses his skills to bring pop up structures, experimental theaters and performance art to life.

Detroit History Club

Bailey Sisoy-Isgro is the owner of Detroit History Tours and the proprietress of the newly founded Detroit History Club.  She is an author, humorist, workaholic, and Faygo-loving tour guide from the great City of Detroit.

Martha Potere is the Economic Development Program Manager for Grandmont Rosedale Development CORP. In addition to her work with Grandmont Rosedale, she is also a Fellow for the Detroit Revitalization and has been happy to leave her mark here in Detroit for the past six years.

Detroit Greats of Gospel Music

David Clements brings over 30 years of experience to our stage. He's worked with GM, Detroit Public Schools, WKBD-TV, WJBK-TV and WXYZ- TV as well as the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. For our 30th, David has prepared his 20x20 around the Detroit Greats of Gospel Music.

Leslie Tom’s professional mission is to interpret issues of sustainability, energy, husbandry and organizational change. As the Chief Sustainability Officer at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, she does just that.

Paul Thomas has wanted to be a part of this community and at 17 years old he started volunteering in the city. His vision for the future of medicine is in Direct Primary Care and she is eager to show everyone exactly what that means.
