Public Works

@ VOL 26 ON OCT 12, 2016

Seeing the evolution of Beirut in past years – its increasing privatization, segregation and inequalities – Abir Saksouk and Nadine Bekdache founded Public Works Studio in 2012. In this presentation, Abir talks about the different projects Public Works is involved in to shape the public discourse around spatial justice and the right to the city.

For Children By Children

@ VOL 26 ON OCT 12, 2016

Raymonda Chamoun is a visual artist and art teacher. Through her teaching, she discovered that every child is an artist. Inspired by this hidden talent that usually ends up pinned to the fridge at home, she came up with the idea she presents in this talk: turning children's art into a motif for children-oriented objects.
