In May of 2015, Chelcee Aitchison graduated from University of Michigan-Dearborn with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Psychology. During her studies, she found her interest in Cultural Anthropology with a focus on indigenous religious beliefs. Spending six weeks on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico, Chelcee researched the levels of symbolism and belief among the populations found on the island.

Jamie Young and Brian Sedik created Rair Studio in 2011. Rair Studio showcases Jamie and Brian’s work and is a working studio creating custom artwork. Jamie chooses not to limit the number of mediums used to one. She loves all mediums and various styles from realism to abstract.

Brean Bush is an Architectural Designer with Hamilton Anderson Associates in Detroit. In 2015, she received her Master of Architecture at Lawrence Tech. Being a big advocate for experiencing architecture first hand, Brean has structured her education around architectural opportunities around the world.  Her team was chosen to fill an hour long live slot with their urban fairy-tale "A Little Fawn" which contemplates the dichotomy of architectural influences on the city in the 20th Century US.

Lis Chere Thomas is a Detroit-based contemporary circus artist with a creative interpretation of the laws of physics and an above-average appreciation of physical pain. In her words, "art hurts." Lis teaches and performs on aerial fabric, lyra (aerial hoop) and trapeze. She particularly enjoys invented apparatus, multimedia collaborations and performing in unusual locations.

Lisa Nuszkowski is an advocate for and leader in transportation and mobility in Detroit. As founder and executive director of Detroit Bike Share, the city’s first public bike share system, set to launch in Spring 2017, she is also leading efforts to launch Detroit’s inaugural Open Streets program in Fall 2016.

Bethanie Martin attempts to engage the human body in its perception of space. She does this with piñatas in an inflatable ecosystem - which definitely doesn’t sound crazy or anything.

Eleanor Oakes is a photographic artist with a multidisciplinary approach, currently living in Detroit, MI. In 2016 she completed the public art project “Graffiti Wanted” to engage the community in an open dialogue about graffiti and censorship in Detroit. She received a MFA in Art Practice from Stanford University in 2014 and a BA from Princeton University.

In "International Perspective" from PechaKucha Night Detroit Vol. 29, George Petkoski shares his visionary approach to architecture based on his international experience from across the world. 

George has more than 30 years of architectural practice in the creative process of designing buildings, master planning large and small communities, and urban design worldwide. He has had his own architectural firm in Detroit for 16 years, been the Director of Design of Architecture for Yamasaki Architects, Michigan and Summerstone international in Beijing, China.

"I do all kinds of different things. I don't like sticking to one medium; I think it makes life more interesting that way."

In "Eclectic Life" from PechaKucha Night Detroit Vol. 29, Madalyn Knebel is a Detroit-based freelance graphic designer, set stylist and model. At Build Institute, a local start-up organization that helps people turn business ideas into reality, she is the Brand Strategy Manager as well as a graduate from Build’s business plan course, which allowed for the pursuit of her entrepreneurship aspirations.
