Join us on June 24 at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for PechaKucha Night Cleveland Volume 28! Lions and tigers and bears--oh my--- plus an awesome roster of fantastic presentations.
Attendees should enter the Zoo through the Main Entrance; parking in the main parking lot for the Zoo. The doors for PechaKucha will open at 7pm and presentations will begin at 8:20pm. We highly recommend if you want a seat to arrive early! As always, PechaKucha is open to the public and free to attend. For your convenience the Zoo will be providing consessions and beer/wine for purchase; so get ready for a really fun evening in the Zoo!
The list of presenters is no joke....Jason Radcliffe, an amazing furniture maker and reality TV finalists who was one of three finalists on Spike TV's furniture competition show 'Framework'; Erin Guido, local artist will no doubt light up the room with her passion for her work and Cleveland; Christopher Kuhar, the Executive Director of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo will be speaking about behavior change; Cathie Bleck, internationally renowned artist will be speaking about how she approaches her work (and giving away 50 screen printed copies of the poster she did for PKN-Vol 28; Mike Murray, Assistant Curator of Animals will be speaking about the wonderful world of animal training and enrichment; Christina Vassallo, Executive Director of SPACES will be sharing her obsessions on the importance of the alternative arts and lifestyle choices like biking through the winter in Cleveland; Jessica Walters will be sharing with us a little about her work with Junior Achievement; Karen Katz, artist and Exhibit Designer for the Cleveland Children's Museum will be sharing a bit about her work and her passion for PLAY; Vicki Searles, Director of Conservation Education, will be speaking about the importance and impact of science education and Jeremy Umanski, local Gastronaut, forager and perhaps one of Cleveland's most creative Chefs, will share with us his obsession for his craft;
