There are so many innovative people on the East End, it could take years of social research to discover everyone. The objective of PechaKucha is to introduce the creative community to each other through a series of short format slide presentations.

Volume 15 presenters include Moira Chas, Bruce Engel, Neil Kraft, Mbachi Kumwenda, Peter Landi, Kenny Mann, Cindy Roe, Joni Sternbach, and Evan Desmond Yee.

Joni Sternbach was working on landscape projects involving photographing the ocean, bluffs, and skies. During this time, she noticed surfers appearing in her photographs. Here in "Surfland from PechaKucha Night Hamptons Vol. 15, she explains her process of using tin type photography to capture the spirit of adventure and freedom that surfers embody.
