Fabcafe as a new place to collaborate and create set to start in the end of the summer in NYC is presented by Kristen Smith. Tech on site is helping customers with their designs and laser cutting and in the evening the Fabcafe turns into events space. The platfform is to take global connections and use them to thrive the local creative economy.
Architect Pascale Sablan is sharing her experience promoting diversity and including children in the design process of redesigning a school in Haiti after the earthquake. Following the international building code in the design she is also quantifying the sustainability of the product and encouraging the audience to share their passion and knowledge with children.

Mark Gardner tells the story about honey, african bees, social enterprise and social impact . The project pulled together people from several countries and delivered a community bee center complex to support cooperative farmers, locals and empower women.

David Benjamin is Principal at The Living, a design firm that brings architecture and design to life — literally. David expounds upon some of the amazing projects his firm uses to combine natural, biological intelligence and artificial intelligence to find new solutions to old problems.
Whether it’s using living mussels and sensors to understand changes in water quality, or growing biodegradable bricks using the root-like structures of mushrooms and agricultural waste, and then building a structure using 10 thousand of these, the projects in action are a small window into our future.
