The New Society

@ VOL 24 ON DEC 09, 2014

In being a scientist, executive, consultant, trainer and author, Wiel Schins (1952) combines education and experience in developing visions of what he refers to as ‘the new society’. As a citizen, he is an avid supporter of the notion of a revolution in economic and social principles, not seen since the Stone Age.

He has identified the present sustainability movement as the wrong way towards this goal. In order to mobilise organisations and their leaders into a more adequate direction, he urges them, first of all, to mature their picture of the world. The geological landscape of the southern part of the Netherlands offers him an outstanding opportunity to replace erroneous perceptions.

Dear Hunter

@ VOL 24 ON DEC 09, 2014

The 'Dear Hunter' are architects, but they are different from any other architect office. They're not striving for buildings: they're after the experience of people like you and me, regarding our surroundings. Their philosophy is based on techniques of the hunt.

Hunting transforms all our senses and makes us extremely aware of our surroundings. Through various hunting techniques they don’t hunt deer, but the dearest thing to man: subjective values within the human environment, personals spatial experiences and perception. They gather this information to use it in the fields of architecture, design and urban planning.
