Blair Wegener is an artist from Edgerton Minnesota that spent many hours painting or drawing in his early childhood. Wegener’s junior and senior high school art teachers had a large influence on him.
And after earning a degree in Commercial Art in 1975 he worked from 1976 to 2008 as a graphic artist, workingfor advertising agencies and lithographers as well as digital prepress work.

Wegener enjoys and is inspired by American illustrators like Maxfield Parish, N.C. Wyeth and Bob Peak. His belief is that one has a lot to learn and explore. With his love to paint and encouragement from his wife of 36 years along with an exceptionally cold winter, began painting hanging art.

Recently Wegener’s been painting signs, portraits and interior graphics by commission. He has painted anything from a tombstone to an airbrushed Harley Davidson engine on a refrigerator door and has had fun painting them. Overall Wegener’s favorite subjects are rural midwest in character and really enjoy painting a
piece that causes the viewer to pause and reflect and also tells a little story.

Chris Coughlin is in his fourth year of teaching Spanish at New Technology High School in Sioux Falls South Dakota. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Spanish at South Dakota State and will complete his Master’s in Education at Augie in December.

As the 2013 school year started, Chris and the physics teacher decided that they wanted to try out yoga, so they attended Chris’s first yoga class one year ago at Santosha Hot Yoga. Finally finding a place for his circus-freak flexibility, Chris was immediately hooked and now calls Santosha his second home, in fact, it worries the owner Jenn when he’s there more than she is.

Chris started to use Instagram to document and share his yoga practice in January of 2014, and has compiled some of his best and worst shots to share tonight.
