Join us for a unique PechaKucha Night Des Moines event.  In June we are partnering with the Des Moines Social Media Club and Healthy for Life University to present a Health-Tech themed PKN.  We encourage everyone to ride their bikes on the Walnut Creek trail, either from Des Moines or the Western Suburbs, to the Windsor Heights Community Center in Colby Park.

The Awakening

After experiencing the traumatic loss of his mother at a young age, Jake Velie resolved to become a 'health ninja'. He has opened gyms, become a radio talk show host, consulted with employers and physicians to reduce health care costs, developed a curriculum to help people lead healthy lives, and even given a PechaKucha presentation on the importance of staying healthy.
