Murat Ates

Writer, The Athletic in Winnipeg

Lines

PRESENTED ON JUN 06, 2019
IN WINNIPEG @ VOL 38

The beginning of the path Murat Ates has taken to become a Winnipeg Jets beat writer for the Athletic can be traced to two generations before him. Murat shares this personal story of how his family and upbringing influenced the trajectory of his profession in this compelling 20x20 talk. Listen in to hear him trace the line from being (jokingly) threatened by head coach Paul Maurice to his family members and his education, and back again.

Murat's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 38, on June 6 2019, at the Park Theatre.
