Graeme Borland

Game Developer in Winnipeg

A Sketch A Day

PRESENTED ON JUN 06, 2019
IN WINNIPEG @ VOL 38

Graeme Borland is a game developer who typically spends his workday writing code. However a few years ago, Graeme felt the need to keep connected to his love of video game environments, so he started a project called Sketch of the Day where he attempts to draw a different, fantastical scene every single day. Watch this inspiring 20x20 talk to see and hear more about this ongoing project, what he discovered throughout the process, and how he's been able to keep this up for more than 2,000 days in a row.

Graeme's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 38, on June 6 2019, at the Park Theatre.

Living Your Best (Art) Life

BY RAINE HAMILTON
@ VOL 38 ON JUN 06, 2019

Raine Hamilton is a singer-songwriter who has been working full-time as a musician for the last few years. She's been able to do so after learning how to fully break the chains of the "security myth" and commit to a way of living that unapologetically integrates what it is she wants to do for the rest of her existence. Raine shared that knowledge with us in her 20x20 talk, showing us that it is possible to live an art life and chart circumstance in your favour, as long as you have the gusto (and the right mindset) to do so.

Raine's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 38, on June 6 2019, at the Park Theatre.

Lines

BY MURAT ATES

Listen in to hear him trace the line from being (jokingly) threatened by head coach Paul Maurice to his family members and his education, and back again.

Murat's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 38, on June 6 2019, at the Park Theatre.
