Six Things About PKN from Whistler's Aki Kaltenbach

Aki Kaltenbach (that's her pictured in the middle) is the organizer behind PechaKucha Night in Whistler, and as she preps for the upcoming Vol. 6 (on April 16) she writes up 6 things she's learned from running PechaKucha Nights over the past couple of years. We're quite fond of this last one, in which she shares how PKN has led to her getting toto know her community better:

It never ceases to amaze me the type and variety of people that are attracted to this little mountain village. I have met more interesting people during these PechaKucha Nights than I have my whole adult life. And it made me realize how 3-dimensional this community is, one could argue even more than a city, because one has to be even more creative to be able to sustain a livelihood in a community that is dependent on snow.
